Dr Alireza Bagheri
Alireza Bagheri, MD., PhD, is Assistant Professor of Medicine and Medical Ethics in Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran and is a visiting scholar at Center for Healthcare Ethics in Lakehead University, Canada.
Dr. Bagheri is an elected fellow of The Hastings Center (New York) and since 2010, he serves as the member of the UNESCO International Bioethics Committee (IBC). He is a member of High Council of Organ Transplantation and as a temporary adviser to the World Health Organization, he has participated in the efforts to regulate requirements for Xenotransplantation Clinical Trials.
He is a senior editor of the Encyclopedia of Islamic Bioethics and a member of Editorial Board of the Encyclopedia of Global Bioethics. He served as a member of the board of Directors of the International Bioethics Association (IAB).
